2018年2月8日，美国环保署发布一项最终法则，以更新复合木制品甲醛参考标准和测试标准，此法规自发布起立即生效，重点如下：
1．法则的700.3节修订 “硬质纤维板” 、 “硬木胶合板” 、 “中密度纤维板”, “刨花板” 和 “质量控制限值” 定义；
2．法则的700.3节将 “EPA TSCA Title VI Product Accreditation Body or EPA TSCA Title VI Product AB” 和 “"TPC laboratory” 需要符合ISO/IEC 17020:1998(E)的标准更新为ISO/IEC:2012(E)；
3．40 CFR 770提到下列标准需更新版本号：
